Ever been to a New York City gallery? Well you can find one at 5 Broadway in downtown Saranac Lake. Mark Kurtz, to celebrate his 25th anniversary, has rented a vacant storefront and is showing photographs from his upcoming book, "New York2 (squared)". Mark is best known in this area for his outstanding Adirondack landscape photographs, as well as his editorial work. But for a number of years he has been making trips to NYC and has a great portfolio of work documenting his unique views of the city.
Using what most would consider a "primitive" Holga black and white film camera in this digital age, Mark's photos are the pure vision of the photographers eye. What he sees is what you get! No digital magic - no special effects. He has documented some of the great architecture and bridges of the city, as well as places like Central Park.
So when you walk through the door, you feel like you are stepping into a Soho gallery don't miss it. Contact Mark through his Studio to make an appointment.
